The Ho-Ho-Kus Bakery is the vision of Mark Gentile. Mark started working at the age of 4 in his family's bakery, the Emerson Bakery, buttering muffin tins. His dad, Renato, taught him a lot during all of their years working at both the Emerson Bakery and Renato's Bakery. Mark then went on to Johnson and Wales University to study Culinary Arts. After many jobs as chef and exeutive chef, Mark began bartending for several years at a local restaurant, but bartending was a job not a passion. Finally, along with the support of his family, he decided it was time to go back to his roots and create something new; and thus, the Ho-Ho-Kus Bakery was born.
